かつて、自分が進学した高校へ通うために、国分寺駅を経由していました。
I used to pass through Kokubunji Station on my way to the high school I attended.
先日(１２月１７日)、ある目的のため、国分寺駅で弟と待ち合わせをしました。
The other day (December 17th), I met up with my younger brother at Kokubunji Station for a certain purpose.
こちらは、多摩都市モノレールの多摩センター駅の改札口。
This is the ticket gate at Tama Center Station on the Tama Toshi Monorail.
「りゅんりゅん
（ルンルン♪）」
"Excited♪"
久しぶりにモノレールに乗れて、機嫌の良いさくら姫です。(^^)
Princess Sakura is in a good mood after riding the monorail for the first time in a while.
立川南駅で、モノレールを下車。
Get off the monorail at Tachikawa Minami Station.
まっすぐ続くモノレールのレールが見えますね。(^^)
You can see the monorail tracks going straight ahead.
徒歩でJR中央線の立川駅へ。
Walk to Tachikawa Station on the JR Chuo Line.
中央線に乗り換えました。
I changed to the Chuo Line.
そして、目的地の国分寺駅に到着。(^^)
And then I arrived at my destination, Kokubunji Station.
弟との待ち合わせの時間まで余裕があったので、駅前の近辺を散策しました。
I had some time to spare before my meeting with my younger brother, so I took a walk around the area in front of the station.
こちらは、南口近辺です。
This is near the south exit.

続いて、反対側の北口に行ってみましょう。
Next, let's go to the north exit on the other side.

華やかではないですが、ささやかながらも美しいイルミネーションですね。(^^)
It's not flashy, but it's a modest yet beautiful illumination.
高校に通っていた時と比べ、国分寺駅もかなり現代的に変貌しました。
Compared to when I was in high school, Kokubunji Station has been transformed into a much more modern place.

近くには、案外多く、緑の広がる公園がありますね。(^^)
There are surprisingly many green parks nearby.
高校に通っていた頃は、立ち寄りませんでした。(^^ゞ
When I was in high school, I never stopped by.
さて、弟と合流し、ある目的のために、ある場所へ。
Now, I meet up with my younger brother and head to a certain place for a certain purpose.
何のために、どこへ？
