本屋さんに行きました。
あぁ・・・やっぱり品切れかって落胆したけど
日本語じゃなくて英語でもいいやと英語版を探していたら
何だか絵の雰囲気で手に取った絵本を紹介します。
A little boy planted a carrot seed.
His mother said, "I'm afraid it won't come up."
Every day the little boy pulled up the weeds around the seed
and sprinkled the ground with water.
But nothing came up.
Everyone kept saying it wouldn't come up.
But he still pulled up the weeds around it every day and
sprinkled the ground with water.
And then, one day...a carrot came up.
just as the little boy had known it would.
途中ざくっと省略しましたが
庭にニンジンの種を植えた男の子が家族全員に
うちの庭ではニンジンは育たないと言われます。
それでも、男の子は毎日雑草を抜いて水をあげ続けた。
そしてある日、ニンジンが芽を出した。
男の子はそうなることを知っていた。
何だか説教臭くないこの絵本に吸い寄せられました。
どんなに批判的な意見も、この男の子のように
淡々と自分のしたいことを続けていけるようになりたいなと
思いました。
