Cats, English, and sometimes cooking - these things I love in life. Whatever I think worthy of writing, I will write here.

Well, this is nothing to do with my cats
So I write this without cats’ pics

Today I went to a dentist
I have several bad teeth
And he had to put some anesthesia on my mouth
I had some slight pain with the part where he was treating my tooth

So he decided to put more anesthesia around the part

That was the cause of my tragedy

This is what I ate today for dinner

My hand-made chicken soup noodles
Delicious as is always, of course

But I realized my mouth went still numb

Obviously the amount of the anesthesia was too big
I felt quite clumsy in attacking the noodles and vegetables in the soup

I felt numb none the less

And some time later
I realized that my mouth was badly bleeding!

What happened was, because of the anesthesia put on my mouth, I didn’t feel any pain while I was actually literally chewing part of my inner mouth!

Horrible!
What I was eating was not only the noodles but also part of my inner tissue of my mouth!

Now it is bleeding and swollen
I attached some ointment inside the mouth and I can taste the ointment (well, in a way thank God, I am not infected with COVID-19, since I can taste very slight minty taste of the creme.)

What? Are you saying that I didn’t wait long enough for the effect of anesthesia to disapppear?

I did!
I do know usually you are told not to eat or drink at least 30 minutes after the dental treatment.
And in my case, I waited more than two hours!

Alas! My lips are swollen awfully, and feel some pain.

The tooth itself does not hurt at all, but my inner part of the lower lip does.

You should never ever eat until your anesthesia goes away after a dental treatment!
